It's all hidden.

well update on my recent trip.

Day 1 --> Singapore --> Taipei --> LA

Supposed to meet irene at 6.15am in T1.. early so that we can grab window seats.... however irene only arrived at abt 6.40am.. poor me... had to sit there alone and read... *thank god that i brought a book along.. if not i'll surely slaughter irene.. hehe.. but the sad news is we couldn't get window seats!!!!

Here we are!! ready for the battle of the long flight to taipei...

In taipei international airport... playing bridge and waiting for the internet booth to be available... hungry thus trying out taipei's subway... *YUCKS*!!!! cheap but the "meatballs" standard is a farcry from Sg's.

well... after 18 hours of flight + transit, we finally reach LA... sigh.. it seems that our bad luck is still lingering ard... we were given the wrong entry form by the air stewardess and we only realized it after 1 hour of queing to check out of the american customs.. we were made to go to another que to fill in the correct form.. and to resubmit... arghhhhhhhhhh.. thats another half an hour!!!!! wtf is the american custom doing?!?! it seems that they must review their procedures man!!!!!

sigh.. estimated time to check in was 2pm... but we only reach at abt 4.50om... 2hours and 50 mins wasted!!!!! checked in and met our tour guide steven... he advised us to buy a whole carton of mineral water.. since its safer to consume bottled water than tap water.. and that the weather is very dry... so water is to keep us asians * aliens who are only used to the humid climate* alive...

Shopped ard our hotel area... quite good lah... 2 super markets... 1 huge pet store *as big as a supermarket*.. multiple stores and a huge selection of eatery... jet lagged and hungry, irene and i decided to have our dinner at RUBY'S!!! YUM!!! the waiter was super cute!! *actually all servers were dressed in the old american style stripped uniform.. gal's dresses were really short!!* and when u meet a server, all they say is "be right with you". The eatery is fashioned like billy bommers..food is pretty good but the portion is HUGE!!!!!!!!!! we ordered a burger set and steak set... think we didn't even finish half of each set... after which we proceed back to our hotel to have our jet lagged slp...
